First and foremost, I would like to say Thank You to Sasha, Alan and the rest of the Legend Story Studios team for all of their hard work and dedication towards Flesh & Blood TCG and its bustling community. Also, Thank You to the countless members of the community helping build the infrastructure around the game.
We have a unique opportunity to build a vibrant and inclusive community on top of the foundation laid by LSS and the New Zealand FaB family. I encourage everyone to practice patience and show compassion as we continue to battle through one of the most unprecedented and uncertain times in modern human history. The response to FaB from players around the globe is a testament to the game's originality; the community's growth during a pandemic is a sign of FaB's strength.
It is with great honor that I share with you FaB Foundry's first official Flesh & Blood TCG Spoiler!
Perch Grapplers - A Majestic Ranger Equipment
"Make it rain from above."
Perch Grapplers is a welcomed addition to the Ranger toolkit. Upon initial inspection, the 2 defense automatically provides more defense utility than any other equipment piece Ranger currently runs. Giving a string of arrows Go-Again feels strong, but a 2 cost action in most current Ranger builds is expensive.
Players must now decide between running Snapdragon Scalers and Perch Grapplers (in most cases). I feel Scalers synergizes better with low cost, aggressive builds using Death Dealer and Grapplers will synergize better with more mid-range and defensive builds using Red Liner. Scalers allows for more in-turn flexibility while Grapplers will take setting up a full turn. Simply being able to block for 2 in the late game is worth running Grapplers in certain matchups.
Ranger is one of the more technically challenging classes in the game. Perch Grapplers only adds to that complexity. Much like Three of a Kind, maximizing Perch Grapplers value will only come with play testing and game experience.
